Rakeem Christmas (ex Plaza) signs at Santurce

Cangrejeros de Santurce (BSN) landed 30-year old Virgin Islander international 206cm power forward Rakeem Christmas (college: Syracuse) for new season. Christmas played recently at Plaza in Santiago League in Dominican Republic.
In 2015 (2015 years after his graduation) he was drafted by Minnesota Timberwolves (NBA) in second round (36 th overall). He graduated from Syracuse University and it will be his seventh season in pro basketball. Christmas has been regularly called to U.S. Virgin Islands Senior National Team since 2020.
He is a very experienced player. And here thanks to pro basketball he experienced life in eight different countries playing on five different continents. Christmas is familiar with European, Asian, Latin American, Australian and of course North American leagues. He has played previously professionally in Australia (New Zealand Breakers), China (Christmasnan), Philippines (Hotshots), Taiwan (Yulon Luxgen), Turkey (Galatasaray and OGM Orman), NBA (Indiana Pacers), Puerto Rico (Capitanes and Mets) and NBA G League (Fort Wayne Mad Ants).
